Pet Travel To The European Union
Pet passports are now no longer valid as we have left the EU. To travel your pet will need a microchip, a valid rabies vaccination, and will need an "animal health certificate" which is an extensive document valid for only 4 months onward travel, ie pets will need a new one for each trip/holiday. These take quite a lot of time and preparation by our vets so we would appreciate as much notice as possible when making any travel requests. Please visit www.gov.uk/take-pet-abroad for more information. The current cost of an animal health certificate is from £255 for your first pet and starts at £60 for each additional pet. If you have any more specific questions regarding your proposed trip then please contact us by email reception@highamvets.com.
